The Google +1 Button shows up at the end of a search result of a webpage with the number of +1s that the page has got. There used to be a Google +1 button next to the search result title of the web page where people can +1 it. The Google +1 button is away for users to recommend the webpage for her/his network of friends and colleagues. So, when I search for something in Google, if one of my friends who is in my network did a +1 to a webpage, that particular webpage has a priority in showing up.
